Run!

So, today me and my roommate felt like being healthy college students and try to postpone the inevitable the freshmen 15 so we went for a "nice jog." This "nice jog" quickly turned into a lung heaving, leg burning, nose running, FREEZING death run. We forgot to take into account the fact that neither of us had worked out on a normal basis for lets just say...a while. We were both so tired that by the time we even made it to the track we were ready to do a quick ab workout and call it a day.
We passed many interesting characters on out short run of death, a few dog walkers with the cute little chihuahuas, and pugs, and came close a few times to wiping out on the snow covered trail. Nevertheless, by the time we got our dead bodies back to out dorm room we felt pretty good about ourselves (except for the sore lungs and dead legs.) We had somehow motivated ourselves to get out of our normal day to day routine of coming back to our room and going directly on our laptops for the rest of the night.
Hopefully, this motivation will continue on for the rest of the semester. Note to my few followers, when you have nothing else to do (even though you might tell yourself you're busy) get out in the cold and go for a run. You might hate yourself once you start running and realize that you are more out of shape than you realized, but you and your body will thank you for it later.

Here's a random picture to stick with my theme...this was taken last winter in NY
